Day Ten
WOW!!! Today has been exhausting. I feel like I have been doing not stop since I woke up, well at least the second time. Kenna was up at 11:30 and didn't go back to sleep until after 1. Anyways back to the present. We did the usual breakfast stuff and I got Kayla ready for school. Her teacher soon called and said that she was sick and would not be having preschool today. Kayla was really bummed. So after cleaning the kitchen and doing some laundry I got Kadi ready for school. Than it was my turn to get ready. We got a wonderful call from Qatar. That is always the high light of my day. I love seeing my husband and the kids love talking to there Daddy. We left here about 11:30. I dropped Kadi off for school and did some shopping by myself. It was amazing. I got the van washed after all the mud from yesterday. Than I went to DI and found some toys for Kayson, some dress up clothes for the girls, and a birthday present for Kadi. Next was Wal-Mart. I had to get some fresh fruits and vegetables for my healthy eating and I also got Kayson a super cool Batman toy. He is really into Batman right now. I had to be back at Kadi's school at 2 for the kindergarten parent meeting. My Mom was in charge so it was really smooth. They want the parent to be familiar with what the kids are doing at school and what they are learning so that we can do the same things at home with them. McKadi was her helper. She did such a good job. By the time we were done with the meeting it was time for Kadi to get out of school so she just came home with me. I spent the next half hour trying to figure out how to put that dang Batman toy together. This is why little boys have Daddys. Than off to make dinner. It took a hour and a half to make dinner. It was super yummy though. Pasta with zuchinni, squash, carrot, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, tomato, onion, and some seasoning. You top it with Parmesan cheese and I served it with whole wheat garlic bread. It was so good. The kids of course didn't want to have anything to do with it. Oh well. The remainder of the evening was spent doing laundry, and cleaning up the volcano that happened in the girls room while I was gone. I walked in and about had a heart attack. Apparently Kayson took every single piece of clothing out of the dressers and closet. They were thrown all over the room. Mixed in were toys and costume jewelry. I didn't know if it would ever end. After that we got ready for bed and I put the kiddos to bed. Just wondering if it is only my kids that seem to have a strange reaction to the word "bedtime". It seems like it is an adrenaline shot. They get all hyper and crazy in about .5 seconds. Just wondering???? Well now I am going to finish and go to sleep as long as my kiddos let me. Good night all. I will post pictures tomorrow of Kayson and his Batman toy.

A volcano that evolved within the room is freaking awesome. Yes; I am glad to hear that my little boy is taking the ranks of Batman and many more super heroes to come. I am glad to see that you’re taking the initiative on eating right. I am not surprised that the kids don’t want to touch healthy and I have to blame us for this one. Don’t get me wrong; when it is time to cook, sometimes the fastest meal is more optional than making up a meal that takes 30 minutes. That was a problem I had when I was growing up and my mother seemed to think microwavable fries were the answer to this solution of hunger. Keep giving your best sweety, I know you can do it. I have taken the initiative to finding a better vehicle for you and the family. There are two options I would like for you to take look at. Look on USAA.com and go under the car buy service option. I have found a 2009 Honda Oddessey that is loaded and a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Both are in the range of 24,000.00 They are in the car saved section where I saved them to be viewed within this hyperlink. The only problem deciding factor is fuel mileage and that is54.00 (Honda) to 74.00 (chevy) dollars for a full tank. It has been raining like crazy for the last two days. The locals say it’s the first in a long time here. I swear, every time I arrive in a new duty station, bad weather seems to follow. Oh well, must be the Montezuma’s curse following my every move. We had the 2nd crew arrive in Qatar last night and that wasn’t fun at all. For starters, I woke up at 0100 and took the bus to the airport only to find no one there. So I walked my frustrated booty to the 3-43 tent to get some information. Come to find out, the plane wasn’t going to arrive until 0345! Argh! So I hopped onto a bus and had a great conversation with a master chief of the air force; the equivalent to a SGT Major. He was in for almost 24 years and was deciding if he should get out. He was amazed that I joined at such a late age. It was a good conversation being that it was late and rainy. Well I went to the barracks and went to sleep for at least 2 hours. I then awoke at 0430 to go help with the LTC Wiernicki baggage. Needless to say, he was happy to see me and was looking like he just got done with a 27 hour flight. He had many officers trying to grab his baggage but SGT Major Boone said “Let Sgt Aguilar take care of his leader and you knuckleheads go watch your luggage before it gets taken away.” Lol, love that Sgt Major. After that, I spent the next hour helping soldiers load their bags to the trucks and battling the cold rain. Its amazing to see the fresh soldiers trying to adapt to their surroundings and trying to carry over 100lbs of luggage. It was a crazy night and I called it a day and went to bed, of course I took a shower. I love you sweety and look forward to talking to you and the kids again. Thank goodness for Skype!
