Day 16
I think I will officially outlaw the word bedtime in my house. Everyone can just stay up 24/7. Let me start from the beginning. Today was actually a really good day. I make waffles, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. Yummy!!!! Then I got everyone ready. After lunch and dropping McKadi off for school I headed to do some shopping with the other 3 kiddos. We started at JcPenny. I had to return a shirt that was too small for Daniel and ended up getting 4 newborn outfits for the baby. It was so exciting to look at all the baby stuff. It makes it really fun for me. After JcPenny we headed to Wal-Mart to do the fun grocery shopping. It really wasn't too bad. The kids all listened to me and I made it through without any stress. After getting home I had just enough time to grab a light lunch/snack before I had to head into town and pick McKadi up. We got home and the kids all listened when I asked them to clean their room. Everything was so smooth until dinner. McKadi and McKayson started fighting over the chair which ended up with Kadi in tears and Kayson screaming. I finally got them all calmed down and dinner was finally eaten. After dinner the older girls took baths while I cleaned up and got ready for Family Home Evening. Tonight we talked about Joseph Smith and the first vision. I had the kids watch the animated video done by the church. Than we talked about it and I was surprised at how much they actually remembered and how well they had listened. We had Popsicles and cookies for treats. This is where it gets really bad. MaKenna started freaking out about everything. She just kept throwing herself on the floor and screaming. She would get mad and try to hit me and get in trouble so she would hit Kayson instead. She isn't even 17 months yet. Man!!!! I know she doesn't feel good and she hasn't been sleeping either but come on. She is really congested now and has a croupy cough at night. Thanks to the families that brought their two little boys to church like that and sent them to nursery. Now my kids get to be sick. Really. After cleaning up from snacks I said the dreaded word. BEDTIME!!!!!!! I got the kids upstairs and had the girls start brushing their teeth while I went in to use the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom McKayson had proceeded to paint my Mom's bedroom, the couch in her room, the kids bathroom, and the hallway with toothpaste. I about came unglued. It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't been doing this for the last week. First it was the shampoo everywhere. Than he moved on to the lotion. Now it is the toothpaste. I have to say he got a very good spanking and hopefully he won't do it again. So while trying to clean all of that up McKadi had a serious meltdown. She is having a really hard time with Daniel being gone. The last time he left she would scream every single night for at least an hour wanting her Dad. She gets so worked up I can't get her calmed down. This is why I am outlawing bed time at our house. Well finally everyone is in bed and I think Kayson knows I mean business because he hasn't got up once. Now I just get to spend the night waiting for MaKenna to wake up because she can't stop coughing or is so congested she can't breath. When it rains it pours. All of my readers please be patient with me as I vent my frustrations as a single (yet married) Mom.

((((HUGS)))) I hope things get better! It's hard but you're good. A little too good, if you ask me! :-P Wish there was something I could do to help ya out!
ReplyDeleteI think Makenna is becoming a little brave for her age. I feel the darkside is residing within her. I just want to let you know how proud I am because of you. Your the best and I know you can handle anything that is thrown to you. Hang in there baby and know that someone is watching you. I love you and have a great day.
