Day Seven

We have survived a whole week!!! I have to say I love Skype because it sure does make this deployment so much easier than the last one. Today started super early with Kenna waking up at 4:30 with hurting teeth. She got in bed with me and went back to sleep for a little bit before she fell out of the bed. Poor girl. I figured I might as well start the day. I made the kids some healthy oatmeal. Just oatmeal, raisins, and cinnamon. No brown sugar at all. After breakfast we started in on chores. Yes I am a mean Mom and make my kids do chores every weekend and almost everyday. On Saturday the girls are responsible for the dusting and window washing. The do a good job. They also have to clean their room and make their beds. We had a good friend come over with her kids for a play date. I was planning on going in to their house but I woke up to a dead battery on my van. It seems the (stupid) dog outside is able to open the automatic sliding doors on my van and sleeps there at night. This is the third time he has done this. So now my van remains locked at all times. Our play date was fun. We made lunch for the kids and I made some delicious sandwiches for lunch. They were turkey and tomato panini. They were so good. The kids played for a while and than my friend left with her two youngest. I keep her oldest so she could play longer. I cleaned up the house some more and than started to get stuff ready for dinner. After dinner the girls took baths and we got all ready for bed. Just after putting the kids in bed Daniel called. I got to talk to him for a while before the kids came downstairs and wanted to talk to their Daddy too. They had a good time seeing him. We have some choices to make as far as the military career goes but I am confident that we will do the right thing for our family. I am adding some pictures for Daniel. I didn't get ones of Kadi and Kayla today so I will tomorrow before church.
