Day 41-43 Catching up.

Friday was a pretty uneventful day. I did my usual breakfast, lunch and out the door to get McKadi to school. In the afternoon my friend came over for a play date with her kids. It is always so nice to have adult conversation. The evening was spent with the kids playing and watching movies. We love to watch movies at our house.

Saturday we got up and got ready to go. The girls and I were meeting a friend in town to do some flea market and thrift store shopping. Kayson was so lucky and got to go to Logan with my Mom to watch my brother play rugby. The girls and I went to the flea market, DI, Idaho Youth Ranch and than we went to McDonald's to eat. They were so spoiled. I completely fell off the wagon this weekend and ate double stuffed Oreo, had Dr. Pepper, and ate at McDonald's. Now I have to be super good for the rest of this pregnancy. After lunch we went to my friends house and the kids played for a couple of hours. Finally it was time to come home so MaKenna could take a nap. When she was a sleep the girls watched a movie and I got all the laundry done. So much fun. The girls had pizza for dinner and I actually had a whole wheat BLT wrap. I did good. Kayson came home a little later with my Mom. He had so much fun. They got to play in the snow and went to a couple of stores. The kids played till bedtime. The girls all went to sleep but Kayson wasn't having anything to do with it. Apparently he slept all the way home from Logan. I got to talk to my sister-in-law and Daniel. Venting is a good thing. Finally at 10:30 I told Kayson it was time for bed no matter if he wanted to or not. I got myself ready for bed and laid down. I was almost a sleep when I heard my Mom calling my name. She sounded kind of funny. I went in to her room and she was sitting on the couch. She was trying to take off her clothes. Apparently she had taken her sleeping pill but instead of going to bed got on the computer. I helped her get in her pajamas and then tried to get her onto the bed. I got her half way and couldn't lift her. McKadi had woken up so she was trying to pull Grandma on the bed. Finally I got her on her bed and covered her up. I found the rest of the story out on Sunday. My brother Jordan had gone in to check on my Mom in the computer room. He found her laying over the chair. She he got her up and got her into the living room. He was sick so he didn't have the strength to get her up the stairs. My other brother Ryan was home so he came in a put my mom over his shoulder and took her upstairs. They got her jewelery off and put her on the bed with the covers on. Well apparently she felt she needed to be in pajamas because that is where I found her only a few minutes later. She doesn't remember any of it. It was so funny. I have never seen my mom like that. I couldn't stop laughing. Finally bed time for me.

Sunday. Church day. The morning was spent getting everyone ready for church. We have late church which is nice. It gives me plenty of time in the morning to get everyone ready. We headed out the door at 12:15. Relief Society was wonderful. The lesson was really good and everyone participated. McKadi and MaKayla were taking part in opening exercises in junior primary. McKadi had the Article of Faith and MaKayla had the prayer. We had practiced Article of Faith 3 with McKadi. When she got up to do it they gave her the card for Article of Faith 2. At first I thought we had just practiced the wrong one. Later the primary president was talking to us and told us they had forgot to change the card. So at least we did the right one. Sacrament was good for the most part. The girls sang with the primary and Kayson went up with them. It was cute. After that everything fell apart. Kayson kept crying. I took him out in the lobby. Pretty soon all of the kids were with me. We all set out there until the meeting was over. After church we went into my friends house to have dinner. It was a nice break from cooking. We had chicken and cheese tortillas. They were yummy. The kids played for a couple of hours and than we headed home. Kayson and Kenna fell asleep in the car so I just took them straight to bed. I got the girls ready for bed and sat down to watch the Prince of Persia. MaKenna woke up shortly after it started. She was hungry. I got her some food and some milk. I finally got her to sleep about 10:30 when Kayson woke up crying really bad. I got him down stairs and tried to calm him down. He started coughing and I knew right away that he had croup. Once you hear that cough you never forget it. I thought maybe we could make it through the night and see the doctor in the morning. I put Kenna in bed and told Kayson to come upstairs with Mommy to lay down. He stood up and started wheezing. He started holding his chest and telling my owie. Okay to the emergency room we go. I got him there and right away they saw him. They had respiratory come and give him a breathing treatment with steroids. It opened him chest a little bit. He was still pretty tight over the middle. I talked to the doctor about maybe this being something more. Kayson has had croup 5 times in the last 13 months and pneumonia once. He recommended that I take him to a specialist and see if he has asthma or allergies that are causing these flair ups. He said it isn't common for them to have it that often. So if we found out something specific we can treat it at home and be more educated. I would feel better if I have some answers. They sent us home with more steroids. It was a long night. Good night.
