WE ARE MOVING

Well it is still pending but come on if the Army gives you a report date then chances are it is going to happen. We are moving to El Paso, TX. Here is my list of likes and dislikes of this new duty station.


DISLIKES
* For those of you who have been to El Paso you know it is a dirty nasty town. My dad calls it the Armpit of Texas. There is a lot of smog and pollution.
* If you make a wrong turn on the interstate you end up in Mexico. That is how close we are to the border. I have no desire to go to Mexico.. Daniel thinks it would be great.
* I have heard the school system is not very good there. Do not know from personal experience. This is where two of my children will be starting public school. Education is very important to me.


LIKES
* It is 3 hours from my Dad and stepmother.
* Only 1 1/2 hours further to my grandparents home.
* This is the closest we are going to get to family.
* Disney on Ice comes through there.


If I think of anything else I will add it. It is a good thing I have six months to get used to this duty station. I have already been there once and have no desire to go back. At least it is for three years and not unlimited.
