Easter Friday, Saturday and Sunday

This year Easter was spent over three days. Next year I am opting to do it different. Friday started out with a Army Easter Egg Hunt. It was at Torri Beach. It was a disappointment. All of Alpha had to leave by 12:45 to get back to work and they didn't even do the Easter egg hunt. The girls were very upset about it. So we had Sydney and Cortney Woolston come over for the night and we did and Easter egg hunt with them in our back yard.

Here is Makayla at the beach. She was having a blast finding the biggest rocks she good and throwing them in the water. Amazingly she stayed dry.

McKadi was also enjoying the beach. However she was trying really hard to NOT stay dry.

Kayson got to swing in a swing for the first time. He thought it was a blast. Even though he threw up after that.

Saturday night we dyed Easter Eggs at our house. The girls had Disney Princess dye and Kayson had Transform dye. Daniel was so excited. He has waited so long to do boy stuff. Kadi is a pro at dying eggs now. She new what to do and was teaching Kayla.
Kayla had lots of fun. She loved putting the eggs in and watching them change colors. I am amazed that none of the dye ended up on her.
Kayson's first Easter. He wasn't sure what to do with the egg. He enjoyed smashing it on the counter. He was very interested in the dye.
He kept looking in to see what was going on. Finally he braved it and stuck his hand in there. Then we had a mess to clean up. They had a lot of fun.
This is Saturday evening when the Woolston girls came over. Kadi is proudly showing off her eggs.
Kayla with her loot. She got quite a bit. We had to put it up so it didn't all get eaten.
Kayson got to go first and get his egg. He found one and was very happy to have it. He even figured out how to open it and eat the jelly beans.

Sunday we tried to focus more on Christ and the Resurrection. We want our kids to understand that the Easter bunny is great but that is not why we celebrate Easter. So in the morning after they found all their eggs and we were waiting for Daniel to make breakfast I put in The Lamb of God. It is a very moving movie. I naratted the film for a 2 and 4 year old. They seems to understand most of it. The love Jesus and were upset when he was being hurt. We spent the afternoon at church. It was overall a wonderful weekend. I was grateful that Daniel was able to be home and spend that time with us. All I have of Sunday is video. I am going to pull some still images off it and post them later.
