McKayson's First Birthday

Today was all about McKayson. I can not believe that my baby is already one. Time sure does fly. Just one year ago he was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and now he is somewhere close to 25 lbs. He is so big.
We started today with the Aguilar tradition. If it is your birthday you get a pancake with a candle in it. Kayson was not sure what to think of all the attention and the flame on the candle. He wanted to touch it. He was so cute.
The rest of the day was spent doing things for McKadi's school. After dinner we opened his presents. As you can tell he was excited.
We had a hard time deciding what to get him for his birthday. They don't have a whole lot at the BX and we wanted something age appropriate for a little boy.
He just wanted what was inside. He did not care for the wrapping paper. I thought he would have torn it to shreds.
He was very thrilled to have all three sets of Tonka trucks. They are the softer ones for little kids. He is such a boy.
This is his present from Grandma and Grandpa. He was excited to hear it rattle.
He played with the trucks all night. They are his new best friend.
I had his cake made by Angie Stokes. I told her I wanted a car theme. This is what we got. I was so happy. It was really cute and it was so delicious.
She did fondant with butter cream frosting. There is so much left over.
Here is the beginning of the cake.
The middle of the cake.

And finally no more cake. He had a great birthday. He is such a joy and blessing to our family. I can not imagine it without him. He is a Mama's boy. I am okay with that. I love him so much. Here's looking to another year. Time goes to fast.
