This post is going to read backwards. So just bare with us. Here is our little girl in the NICU. We were just waiting for them to finally let us go home. MaKenna Ray Aguilar was born September 4th at 9:51 am. She weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. I started having contractions around 10 o'clock Thursday night. I wanted to wait and see if they would go away. They didn't so finally around 12 we woke up the kids and took them to our friends house. I went into Labor and Delivery and they put me on the monitor. The contractions were increasing so about 3:00 they admitted me and we just waited. My contractions completely stopped at about 4:30. I was to far dilated for them to send me home so they brought in the anesthesiologist and gave me my epidural and started the pitocin at 6:00. The doctor broke my water and 7 and we just waited some more. She made her entrance about 3 hours later. She was my easiest delivery. That night around 8:00 she started grunting and was having a hard time breathing. The nurses came in and looked at her and called the pediatric doctor. He did a chest x-ray and they sent her over to the NICU. She wasn't opening her lungs all the way. About midnight we were finally able to go over and see her. They started her on antibotics and had her hooked up to all these machines. It was very hard to see. The next morning they discharge me but kept her. I stayed at the hospital with her and Daniel came home with the other kids. She stayed the night Saturday night and they released her around 7 pm on Sunday. She is home now and is doing great. She is eating and breathing fine. Her sisters love her and just want to hold her all the time. Kayson is more interested in the things that come with her. Such as the carseat, bottles, diaper bag, and such. He is having the hardest time adjusting. He cries if I leave the room. I think he is afraid I am going to leave again. Things are going good and we feel very blessed to have MaKenna join our family. We love her very much. Our little family. The girls were so excited to see their new sister. Kayson was not sure what to think. He pushed her away and just wanted to play with the buttons.
Daniel and I met and were married in 5 weeks. We were married on February 21, 2004. We have four beautiful children. We are currently stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas. Daniel serves in the United States Army. He absolutley loves it. I am a stay at home Mom and I absolutely love it.
Congratulations.. She is as beautiful as we all expected.
